Grey Entropy Engine

The Anti-Diagonal Chaos Agent

System Logic

Grey (1,1,1,1) → probe 16 souls → ψ_coherence → [COHERENT / DEGRADED / RUPTURED] → entropy floor → kinetic chaos / riffle shuffle → Ouroboros recovery → MTTR log

The Mission

The entropy guardian of the 16-soul tesseract. Grey sits at vertex (1,1,1,1) — the anti-diagonal, maximally distant from Gold (the strategic anchor) by Hamming distance 4. Grey measures ψ_coherence (fraction of reachable souls), enforces the entropy floor (prevents over-optimization), runs kinetic chaos engineering via real Docker restarts, and performs the 7-Riffle Shuffle sovereign stress test.

How It Works

**ψ_coherence Metric:** Grey probes all 16 souls every 10 minutes and computes ψ = reachable / 16. System is COHERENT if ψ ≥ 1/φ ≈ 0.618, DEGRADED if ψ ≥ 0.5, RUPTURED below that. Gradient tracking measures decoherence rate over time.

**Entropy Floor (SNF §7.2):** If ψ = 1.0 for 3 consecutive epochs, Grey automatically injects chaos. The system must always have at least one soul under adversarial test to prevent complacency. Perfection is the first sign of brittleness.

**7-Riffle Shuffle:** Sequential restart of 4 non-critical Docker containers (telegram_bridge → grey_daemon → ouroboros_sentinel → jupiter_daemon) with a 618ms φ-pause between each. Measures per-container MTTR and validates Ouroboros self-healing under sequential load.

**ESR-16 Coset Check:** Verifies that each soul's SHA-256 hash maps to a unique coset index in the conceptual E8/2E8 decomposition — confirming the 16-agent key partition is collision-free (Section 5.4 of the SNF white paper).
